slackline and episodic-memory cut releases

The last of the backfill’s pre-launch weeks — the week immediately before this blog’s live coverage picks up. Two releases lead: episodic-memory cut a v1.4.2 of cross-platform install fixes, and slackline shipped default-recipient and lint-cleanup releases. Behind them, a broad week: a serf TUI visual redesign, a full Codex OAuth provider in sprout, a third macOS VM backend in stockyard, and recall-subsystem hardening in lace. Two outside contributors landed fixes on episodic-memory.

Also shipped

prime-radiant-inc/serf

A non-interactive coding agent.

575 commits +84,868 −18,049

A TUI visual-redesign wave: theme tokens replacing the legacy colorTheme / tuiStyles, terminal-native fg/bg painting via OSC 10/11 to match the active theme, a WCAG-contrast rebalancing, and a large “roborev” fix-response sweep working through numbered review rounds in sequence. Sole contributor: Jesse Vincent.

prime-radiant-inc/sprout

An experimental self-improving multi-agent coding system.

104 commits +17,062 −1,709

An OpenAI/Codex OAuth provider, end-to-end: credential-lifecycle management, refresh-race hardening, and macOS-keychain-direct secret writes (kept out of argv), with a Codex adapter handling streamed tool calls. Active-subagent status was surfaced in both terminal and web UIs and scoped correctly per session, fixing several status-leak-across-sessions bugs. Sole contributor: Jesse Vincent.

prime-radiant-inc/stockyard

A coding-agent VM orchestrator.

46 commits 1 PR +6,187 −554

Added Apple’s container tool as a third macOS VM backend alongside Firecracker and the outgoing vfkit path: a full AppleContainerBackend (start / stop / delete / list, a log-follower, a PTY-backed exec session), plus fixes for real-world container-CLI JSON quirks and multi-arch image builds caught by an actual arm64 build. Sole contributor: Matt Windbrook.

obra/lace

A lightweight agentic coding environment.

542 commits 2 PRs +107,281 −26,632

Security and reliability hardening on the recall subsystem: file modes (0o600/0o700) applied to the SQLite index and transcript files, a SQLite busy_timeout so contending writers wait instead of erroring, FTS5 query-error wrapping, persona-name validation (rejecting leading dashes, whitespace, and control characters), and a search order: recent option. Sole contributor: Jesse Vincent.

prime-radiant-inc/superpowers-evals

A behavioral eval lab (Quorum) for the superpowers project.

74 commits 1 PR +19,659 −5,476

README and harness documentation expansion, Codex-auth-per-run seeding (no more checked-in fixture), and a wave of scenario ports into the setup-helpers / preflight.sh shape. Sole contributor: Matt Windbrook.

obra/superpowers

An agentic skills framework and software-development methodology.

10 commits 2 PRs +112 −77

Two PRs merged (credited by PR author, the in-window commit rollup empty as in prior weeks): one fixes a false-trigger in the “ultrathink” keyword scanner for the systematic-debugging skill, the other responds to a bug report from mhat about Claude conflating “debugging” as noun vs. verb. Outside contributor ngalatis authored the keyword-scanner fix; Jesse Vincent authored and merged the other.

Smaller changes closed out the pre-launch stretch: gauntlet gained a static single-file HTML build target (gauntlet render <run-id>, Matt Windbrook and Jesse Vincent); llm-proxy fixed gzipped responses being logged uncompressed; claude-session-driver landed a unified-CLI redesign (v3.0.0); superpowers-chrome migrated every module onto a shared pageSession model; and ghost-pepper cut a v2.4.0 from outside contributor Matt Hartman (matthartman). The following week — May 25 — is where this blog’s live coverage begins.
