obol arrives, clipfan grows a self-healing mesh
A launch-heavy week. obol — a cost estimator that reads an agent transcript and tells you what it cost, with bindings for Python, Go, and TypeScript — appeared and shipped a v0.1.1 with a full multi-channel release pipeline behind it. homedir-manager split out of the dotfiles repo into a standalone deploy-and-audit engine. And a run of releases landed across slackline, clearance, and clipfan, the last of which grew a self-healing SSH mesh.
The week in numbers
- 44 repos active (6 featured, 38 also shipped)
- 962 commits
- 15 merged PRs
- +224,038 / −75,040 lines
- 11 commit identities
- 36 tagged releases
Two numbers to read carefully this week. The active-repo count is inflated by an org-wide housekeeping commit — a single “project-map” doc added to dozens of otherwise-quiet repos — so many of those repos saw no feature work. And the tagged-release count is dominated by clipfan, which tags a release per merged change (29 patch tags this week alone); that’s a packaging cadence, not 29 distinct milestones. The real feature work is in the repos called out below.
Featured
obra/homedir-manager
A symlink-deploy and audit tool for dotfiles content repos, plus a macOS defaults helper (POSIX sh and Swift).
36 commits +4,336 −129New this week — the “management machinery” carved out of obra/dotfiles into its own standalone engine: multi-repo discovery, deploy and audit engines, and a marker-based content-repo registry. It added a merge-children manifest directive that expands a directory’s children into a symlink target, with drift-checking and orphan detection, and shipped Shellcheck-clean CI across Linux/macOS/Swift plus a pre-push secret-audit hook.
prime-radiant-inc/obol
Reads an AI-agent transcript and estimates what it cost — a Rust core with C-ABI bindings for Python, Go, and TypeScript.
96 commits 2 PRs 🏷 v0.1.1 +15,511 −516New this week, and it launched with distribution already solved: alongside the v0.1.1 release came a full multi-channel publish pipeline built in the same window — PyPI (four platform wheels via OIDC), crates.io (OIDC trusted publishing), and npm (@primeradianthq/obol). Naming a cost estimator “obol” — the coin you pay the ferryman — is the kind of detail that tells you who built it.
prime-radiant-inc/obol-go
The generated Go binding for obol — loads the native library at runtime via purego, no cgo.
New this week: the bootstrap of obol’s Go binding target, tag-generated automatically from prime-radiant-inc/obol’s releases. Its commits are machine-generated release artifacts, so this repo is really the automation half of obol’s launch rather than a separate project.
prime-radiant-inc/clearance
The Clearance product workspace — a Markdown viewer monorepo, currently a native Swift/macOS app.
12 commits 3 PRs 🏷 2 releases +851 −94Two tagged releases (v1.3.5 and v1.3.4). A local CLI install option landed, macOS download instructions got clearer, and a native-appearance polish pass fixed dark-appearance handling, preserved transparent icon corners, added a standard zoom shortcut, and opened bundled release notes read-only. External contributor Jonah (alibi85) is credited on one commit, and a macOS open-app fix (#51) came in via a Codex-authored branch.
prime-radiant-inc/slackline
A single-binary Go CLI that gives AI agents a Slack identity.
27 commits 🏷 4 releases +2,534 −275A busy release week (v0.3.3, v0.3.2, v0.3.0, v0.2.3, plus a commit-only v0.3.1), all aimed at cutting jq friction: a listen --type allowlist filter, reaction_added/removed unified into one reaction event with an action field, and a distinct timeout exit code for ask. The Slack skill set consolidated too — slackline-provision-bot folded into using-slack, the plugin made self-distributing — and a read --thread tail-omission bug got fixed.
prime-radiant-inc/clipfan
A clipboard-sync daemon for a Mac plus a remote tmux fleet.
169 commits 🏷 29 releases +64,083 −2,811The release count here is a packaging artifact (a tag per merged change), but the week’s real headline is a self-healing SSH mesh: mesh-heal brought decentralized roster discovery, host-key trust hardening (closing a TOCTOU and a truncation gap), resilient sync-pin host prep, and Go-daemon restart recovery. Fleet UX picked up an About window, an explicit Add-Peer success state, and SSH-aware outbound indicators, alongside reliability fixes to launchd PATH/tmux resolution and stale-session handling.
Also shipped
prime-radiant-inc/serf
A non-interactive coding agent that loops until the work is done, with native tool-calling across OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google models.
181 commits +41,157 −43,492A “goal” objective engine: an objective that persists across restart and resume, shows as a live status chip in both the TUI and the web hub, gets re-injected on compaction, and was hardened against adversarial review. Plus resumed-session fixes — the active turn id is now preserved, and the task-status UI got a cleanup.
prime-radiant-inc/superpowers-evals
The Quorum behavioral eval lab — drives real coding-agent CLIs through a QA agent and grades them on workflow compliance.
115 commits +33,055 −2,083Two new eval targets came into the harness — Copilot and Kimi — each with isolated auth/session preflight, capture diagnostics, and rate-limit handling. The agy path got fail-fast reliability work (rate-limit detection, kill, and verdict path, with credential backup/restore around mid-run kills), and a suite-tiering mechanism landed (sentinel/adhoc tiers, run-all --tier filtering).
obra/lace
A lightweight agentic coding environment (TypeScript).
202 commits +43,340 −18,549An environment-based container-role refactor: role→environment resolution now drives the container spec, replacing ad hoc identity params, and the credential-broker socket threads through ToolContext per environment. The now-redundant sen-cred mount gate and a vestigial identity param came out.
obra/superpowers
An agentic skills framework and software-development methodology that actually works.
15 commits 10 PRs +994 −226Ten merged PRs and the week’s most community-driven repo. The core work — multi-harness expansion (Antigravity CLI agy support, a Kimi Code plugin manifest), Windows polyglot-hook fixes, and a WebSocket-frame-payload cap in brainstorming — was driven by Drew Ritter, with a notable run of external contributions: small fixes and manifest additions from Matt Van Horn (mvanhorn), dev_Hakaze (arimu1), nestorluiscamachopaz, nawfal (nawfalaf), and qer (wbxl2000), and a PR opened by Rahul (therahul-yo). A good week for the project’s contributor base.
prime-radiant-inc/gauntlet
An AI-powered QA framework that drives web apps, CLI tools, and TUI programs from markdown story cards.
1 commit +34 −0Housekeeping only this week — the org-wide project-map commit, no feature work.
obra/dotfiles
Jesse’s personal dotfiles.
53 commits +11,461 −3,467The biggest “quiet” repo by volume, and mostly a secrets-management overhaul: fnox adopted as the single lazy per-command secret mechanism (replacing the old by-title resolver), with a vault-agnostic (op/rbw/bw) dispatch helper. Plus a cross-OS shell refactor (zsh config under ZDOTDIR, a Linux drop-in, gh as the cross-platform git credential helper) and a new documentation-maintenance skill.
prime-radiant-inc/superpowers-testing
A development and testing marketplace for Superpowers.
1 commit +34 −0Housekeeping only — a single maintenance commit, no feature work.
Beyond the repos above, roughly two dozen more across both orgs saw a single identical commit this week — an org-wide “project-map” catalog rollout (a catalog-info.yaml and ABOUT.md added to each). It’s infrastructure hygiene rather than shipped features, so we’ve grouped it here rather than give each repo its own entry. A handful also had version-pin bumps or release-note-only tags (superpowers-chrome, claude-session-driver, superpowers-marketplace, superpowers-lab).
