Tools that help other tools ship: everyharness, proving-it-works, and superpowers v6.3.0

The most recent week in this batch, and it leans toward tooling that helps other tools ship. everyharness (generate a coding-agent plugin for every harness from one config) and its companion everyharness-container went public, as did proving-it-works (make a movie that proves your software actually runs). Around them, superpowers cut v6.3.0, clipfan and agentic-usage-meter both released, and serf ran a sweeping UX pass — several changes landing from outside contributors, including a couple of recognizable names. This week is still open: the data below runs through mid-week, not the full calendar week.

Also shipped

prime-radiant-inc/serf

A non-interactive coding agent: give it a prompt and it reads, writes, runs commands, and searches code in a loop until the work is done, using native tool-calling across OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google models.

149 commits 1 PR +26,977 −25,383

A top-to-bottom UX pass: keyboard flow, blocking-approval visibility, needs-you routing, shell chords, inline slash completion, and fixes drawn from typical-user persona testing — dropping the old Conversation view in favor of collapsed action groups. A separate merged PR clarified and hardened the shell execution modes.

prime-radiant-inc/superpowers-evals

A behavioral eval lab (Quorum) that drives real coding-agent CLIs through a QA agent and grades them on workflow compliance.

32 commits 1 PR +5,078 −1,084

A “Quorum overhaul” program spec pushed through several reviewer rounds (column registry, quota graph, durability barriers, a single sizing authority), plus an empirical OpenAI rate-limit probe showing no throttling at 20-way concurrency. It also rebased its container on the new shared everyharness-container image and added Claude subscription auth via OAuth token.

obra/lace

A lightweight agentic coding environment.

22 commits 1 PR +6,037 −2,443

A crash-recovery centerpiece: an “interrupted” job status, a crash-recovery job listing scoped to the latest crash generation, and a per-process turn beacon — one flag file per agent process — with a regression test ensuring an idle beacon never clears a busy sibling’s flag. An Apache-2.0 license was added, too.

obra/winpepper

Windows-native local dictation: hold a hotkey, speak, release, and cleaned-up words appear in the focused app — all local.

82 commits +9,871 −1,438

The week’s real work was a user-configurable audio-history-retention feature, built behind an extensive fail-closed hardening effort: the history archiver now refuses destructive I/O on reparse points and junctions (so a junctioned history root can’t be deleted through to an external target), validates index-writability before writing, and reports every skip rather than silently dropping recordings. Mostly outside contributor Dan Shapiro again.

prime-radiant-inc/github-triage

A Claude Code plugin for triaging GitHub issues and pull requests, with a security-gated PR review workflow.

2 commits

Its earliest steps — the first two commits standing up the triage workflow.

prime-radiant-inc/awesome-superpowers

A community index for the superpowers ecosystem.

5 commits 2 PRs +145 −5

Populated with its initial curated list, followed by an image-alignment fix. A week after opening, it has content.

obra/the-elements-of-style

William Strunk Jr.’s Elements of Style (1918) in markdown, for AI agents.

5 commits +1,049 −397

Packaged as an agent-installable plugin: adopted everyharness config v2, regenerated its install docs, and dropped the old session-start bootstrap.

prime-radiant-inc/slackline

A single-binary Go CLI that gives AI agents a Slack identity — send messages, read channels, stream real-time events — with admin tooling to provision new bots.

2 commits 1 PR +201 −0

An Apache-2.0 license added.

obra/private-journal-mcp

A lightweight MCP server that gives an agent a private journaling capability to process thoughts.

2 commits 1 PR +21 −0

An MIT license added.

obra/dotfiles

Jesse’s personal dotfiles.

2 commits +698 −698

Added a “proving-it-works-with-a-movie” skill, then retired it the next day once it shipped as a proper plugin — the dotfile as a staging ground.

The remaining active repos — homebrew-tap, superpowers-docs, terminal-bench-analysis, claude-plugin-stats, and smevals — had only minimal or bot-driven activity this week (chart and README rebuilds, small doc touches), with no product changes worth a full entry.
