Prime Radiant

automatic-sshfs's first real release, three winpepper alphas, and evener's REST-to-AppWire migration

Two repos earn the featured treatment this week for the same reason — a tagged release — but they’re otherwise unrelated: prime-radiant-inc/automatic-sshfs cut its second release since launching last week, and obra/winpepper cut three alpha releases in quick succession. Underneath them, prime-radiant-inc/evener had its highest-velocity week yet without a release of its own, migrating a long list of REST endpoints onto a typed transport, and a new, undescribed repo — obra/toy-c-compiler — showed up authored entirely by a git identity this blog hasn’t seen before. This week is still open: the data below runs through Friday evening, not the full calendar week.

The week in numbers

  • 7 repos active (2 featured, 5 also shipped)
  • 1,091 commits
  • 149 merged PRs
  • +53,811 / −4,977 lines
  • 8 commit identities
  • 4 tagged releases

prime-radiant-inc/evener

A coding agent: give it a prompt and it reads, writes, runs commands, and searches code in a loop until the work is done, using native tool-calling across OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google models.

773 commits 142 PRs

By far the highest-velocity repo this week, even without a release. The main thread is a REST-to-typed-AppWire migration: session deletion and rename, project archive/favorites/deletion, navigation reads, the command palette, the model catalog, git-HEAD lookups, and mobile pairing all moved off ad-hoc REST endpoints onto one typed transport, with the now-superseded REST surfaces (spawn, upgrade, tree validation, path validation) torn out once each migration landed. Alongside it: per-session vision-model configuration, inline slash-mention plugin exposure, a CI lint-lane split across runners, and a long tail of hardening fixes (delegate-attention draining, interrupt-cleanup ownership, forgiving ask_user headers, excluding provider retries from drain liveness). A large share of this week’s raw diff is delegate-branch integration merges reintegrating work back into the mainline rather than net-new authored lines, so the line-count widget above intentionally doesn’t show a diff figure for this repo this week — commits and merged PRs are unaffected and accurate. Contributors: Jesse Vincent overwhelmingly. One outside contribution landed too — WilliamK112 merged a fuzz-gap-closing test PR (#474); and two commits came from Ada Sen (a release-download error-message fix and an OLLAMA_HOST normalization fix), under both her ada-sen and Ada Sen git identities.

prime-radiant-inc/superpowers-evals

Behavioral eval lab (Quorum) for the superpowers project that drives real coding-agent CLIs through a QA agent and grades them on workflow compliance.

70 commits +33,042 −1,727

One continuous arc: a “kernel D2” provisioning-and-instrument-snapshot design went through two competing spec revisions — a five-seat panel review absorbed into the second — before landing as a worktree-materializer module, itself hardened across four review rounds (SHA validation, symlink-safe lock reclamation, ownership-safe locking, loud failure reporting) and capped with attempt-scoped crash/seal-terminality fixes and a final multi-wave review pass. Sole author: Drew Ritter.

obra/lace

Lightweight agentic coding environment.

6 commits 6 PRs +2,804 −341

Six merged PRs, all internally ticket-tagged: a file_find fix for a bug that wedged a coworker session for over an hour (one container exec per entry), sizing the preserved compaction tail against a model’s own self-reported context window instead of a guess, skipping a compaction breakpoint when compaction did nothing, putting the last-call input-context-token count on the usage wire, resolving personas through the session’s own registry by name, and making persona failures loud with a bounded fallback. Sole author and merger: Jesse Vincent.

obra/toy-c-compiler

A toy C compiler targeting AArch64 assembly output, with its own IR optimizer (no repository description set).

212 commits +14,799 −2,179

A new repo this week, though not new enough to trigger the “created this week” featured flag — it first appeared a couple of days before the window opened. Once active, it moved fast: a run of assembler-parsing fixes (movk/sxtb/sxth/floating-point register forms), then pass after pass of peephole optimization — self-add-chain folding, dead sign-extension elimination, redundant stack-pointer-restore elimination, load/store-pair coalescing, mov-store fusion, load-target folding — each tracked against a running in-repo notebook logging instruction-count reduction as the week went on. Every commit resolves to a single git identity, C Compiler Builder — which is evener itself, running GLM 5.2, authoring the whole repo autonomously. It’s a deliberate showcase: a coding agent building a working AArch64 C compiler, IR optimizer and all, end to end. So the compiler-craft here is agent work rather than an outside human’s — the same tool driving evener’s own high-velocity week above, pointed at a fresh target.

The remaining active repo — claude-plugin-stats — had only bot-driven activity this week (the daily install-stats scrape and chart rebuild), with no human commits.
